Band and Artist Lineup
B.O.M.B. Fest 2010 Headliners:
Lupe Fiasco "Lupe Fiasco is an American recording artist, producer and CEO of 1st and 15th Entertainment. He rose to fame in 2006 following the success of his critically acclaimed debut album, Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor. Fiasco also sings and produces for the punk band Japanese Cartoon." http://www.lupefiasco.com/
30 seconds to Mars Thirty Seconds to Mars' newest album title – This Is War – is more than a just a reference to the band’s personal battles, a commentary on global crises and economic turmoil and homage to their now infamous $30,000,000 lawsuit with Virgin Records. This Is War also represents the result of an 18-month creative battle, fought ferociously, but privately, inside a studio built into the side of a house tucked away in the Hollywood Hills. The result: a triumphant, sonically epic game-changer that builds on the vision laid out in their 2002 self-titled debut and 2005’s multi-platinum A Beautiful Lie.

of Montreal "is an American indie-rock band formed in Athens, Georgia. Fronted by Kevin Barnes, the band's style has been influenced by not only more conventional indie pop and psychedelic music, but also by vaudeville and music hall on the earlier releases and by afrobeat, funk, krautrock and reggae in their more recent releases." Girl Talk "Pittsburgh artist Gregg Gillis (aka Girl Talk) has scrupulously created music from samples for over eight years. His fourth album, Feed the Animals, continues his sonic evolution towards his party-infested live show. While his first album, Secret Diary (2002), was full of purposeful glitches and noise, his subsequent albums, Unstoppable (2004) and the groundbreaking Night Ripper (2006), moved closer and closer towards dance-able mixes of varying genres, often including dozens of audio sources in a stream of juxtaposed hooks. With the fourth Girl Talk album on the Illegal Art label, Gillis steps even closer towards a creation that is centered on pop musicality rather than attention-deficit sample splicing. " Read more...
Mute Math "Since MuteMath released its first EP in late 2004 and hit the road in 2005, their inherent nature has challenged limitations and expanded parameters. By 2007, they would find themselves Grammy nominated and declared by Alternative Press as “the #1 band you need to see live before you die.” www.mutemath.com
The Cool Kids "Part of the mid-2000s hip-hop movement...the Cool Kids proved to be both an Internet and live show phenomenon. The duo of Mickey Rocks (born Antoine Reed) and Chuck Inglish (or Evan Ingersoll) met in mid-2005." blog.coolxkids.com
Roots of Creation "This band has perfected a Jam-Reggae sound...rhythmic jams dusted with an electronica flavor and boosted by funk-rock riffs. When just four guys can go to this many funky and interesting places, you want to go with them." www.myspace.com/rootsofcreation
Christine Olhman & Rebel Montez "This queen of blue-eyed rock n' soul grew up loving equally the sweetness of a Memphis horn line and the raunch of an electric guitar riff, whether played by Muddy Waters, Keith Richards, or Pop Staples. With her band Rebel Montez (Michael Colbath-bass; Cliff Goodwin-guitar; Larry Donahue-drums), "I've come here tonight to set your souls on fire," she'll tell an audience. And she will. www.christineohlman.net/index.html
40oz to freedom "Hailing from San Diego, CA, 40 Oz To Freedom is known as "the most authentic Sublime Tribute band, period." Fronted by Dan Scott, 40 Oz to Freedom is a touring machine, playing hundreds of dates a year throughout the U.S. and Canada and keeping the music of Sublime alive. Beginning in March 2008, Rouchell met up with local musician Eric Rogers (Antenna Inn) to talk about his project, now in full swing. Rogers began sitting in on drums and from there, additional musicians signed on drawn by the strength of the weekly tunes and the prolific manner in which Rouchell was turning them out. Before long, this one-man show turned into a six-man spectacle, keeping the steady flow of fresh material, building a fan base through live shows, and pushing through 2008 with an unyielding goal of 52 songs in 52 weeks.
