Fresh out of “Music City”, Nashville’s own Turbo Fruits play a decidedly different brand of rock and roll — smoky punk riffs with a heavy dose of blues and a whole lot of swagger. Formed by guitarist Jonas Stein, Turbo Fruits began as a mere side project but quickly became the main focus after getting signed to release their debut LP on Thurston Moore’s label Ecstatic Peach. Concentrating on a newer and more mature sound, with two full-length albums down, as well as a seemingly endless touring schedule in place, Turbo Fruits have proven they are here to stay. Stein’s latest venture, Nashville-based label Turbo Time Records, is releasing a series of 7 inches on limited edition clear and white vinyl.
